  20.     Talked with someone today in NewTek sales about Toaster upgrades.

  22.     She verified that there are basically three types of upgrades:

  24.     1 - Software only.  This includes the new CG and most of the new
  25.         abilities of Lightwave (apparently all non-AGA functions)
  26.  
  27.     2 - Trade board.  Trade your board for the T4000 and 3.0 software. 
  28.         Plus a rebate from Commodore for the purchase of the A4000.
  29.  
  30.     3 - Buy the New T4000 + software.  Registered owners will get a
  31.         rebate from NewTek, in addition to the Commodore rebate for
  32.         the A4000.
  33.  
  34.     The pricing for upgrades is not set, nor are the rebates.
  35.  
  36.     All the upgrade options were a bit confusing to me, so I may have
  37.     screwed up while writing the options down... so the above list
  38.     may not be 100% accurate.  Registered owners will be getting
  39.     details in the mail in the next couple weeks (hopefully).

  41.     I think that the idea here is that you can upgrade through
  42.     dealers that carry the Toaster... then send in for the rebate
  43.     to NewTek... and somehow it's all connected to a rebate at
  44.     Commodore as well for the A4000.

  46.     I forgot to ask about a possible "T4000 Workstation".

  48.     She mentioned something like "actionFX" or somesuch... that have
  49.     an audio transition that is produced along with the transition
  50.     effect (using the Amiga's audio hardware).  Interesting.

  52.     It sounds like it will ship on a whole boxload of disks.... maybe
  53.     around 30?  Ug.
